5 of 6, with two still running. The directions were right, but the ranges were too narrow: in the 14:15 drop, Bitcoin, ETH, HYPE and SOL all fell below the bottom of our ranges.
Yesterday in one line
Bitcoin lost 0.4% to 80,861 and ETH lost 1.2% to 2,358. But Hyperliquid liquidations nearly tripled to $135.3M, and $132.2M of that was longs. Almost all of it came in about an hour: Bitcoin fell from 80,700 at 14:10 UTC to 79,184 at 15:25. According to CoinDesk, the weekend slide came as the U.S. began pulling staff from Middle East posts.
Same minute, opposite bets
Hyperliquid whales went opposite ways in that drop. Bitcoin hit 80,000 at 14:18 UTC.
0xc3ed…00dd is one of the two 30x whales from yesterday's piece. Between 14:18 and 14:24 it sold its entire $40.1M Bitcoin long at about 80,100, for a $778K loss. Its liquidation price was 77,528, so it was not forced out. It chose to sell. At 22:35 it flipped short, and it now holds a $16.0M short at 30x, up $90K.
At 14:19 UTC, one minute after 0xc3ed started selling, 0xe813…6d74 bought $54.0M of ETH in 55 seconds at about 2,344. At 15:17, near the low, it added $9.0M at 2,296. It now holds $62.7M of ETH on a $7.0M account, with liquidation at 1,638. It is down $325K.
Then there's 0xcfe2…8fb3. It had a sell order for its $39.7M Bitcoin long sitting at exactly 79,500, and it filled between 15:17 and 15:33 as the price fell through it. It locked in $430K.
The other 30x whale doubled down
0xc3ed's twin, 0xf081…e39e, did the opposite. It deposited $1M at 17:35 UTC, bought $2.6M more at 80,130, then deposited another $150K this morning and bought $4.1M at 80,902. Its long is now $46.2M, with liquidation down from 77,396 to 76,033. It is down $814K.
0x13da…08be had a long day. It was liquidated on HYPE at 08:46 UTC and lost $584K. At 10:00 it shorted $9.1M of Bitcoin at 80,555 and closed it in the 14:00 drop for $47K. Then it bought $10.1M of SOL at 20x. Its liquidation is 97.97, 2.6% below the current price.
The Tesla whale, 0x30af…393e, bought $20M of Bitcoin at 80,238 yesterday afternoon and sold it this morning for a $25K loss. It now holds nothing again.

HYPE (75.60): range 73.5–78, neutral. 0xcfe2 holds a $15.1M long from 79.0 and is down $688K. 0x082e…ca88's $104M long liquidates at 69.48, 8% away. Large orders were net sellers of $13.3M of HYPE yesterday, 47% of large-order volume.
SOL (100.64): range 97.5–103, bearish. SOL touches 97.97 before 103. That's 0x13da's liquidation price. It already lost $584K on HYPE yesterday, and SOL dipped to 98.64 yesterday afternoon.
