Elysium officially launches Nov 9, but 6,058 wallets are already inside, and the chain has been running since Oct 19
Elysium, the Hyperliquid Layer 2 from Kinetiq, launches on Nov 9, according to Bankless. Its docs still say mainnet is pre-launch, and list the chain ID and block explorer as "coming soon".
The chain isn't waiting. Chain ID 99901, which we reached through an RPC run by the app PerpMe, has been producing blocks since Oct 19, and is past block 350,000. Its bridge contract on HyperEVM is public, and wallets have found it.
What we counted
We read every deposit message on the bridge (0x503D…16B6) up to about 15:00 UTC on Nov 3:
- 18,108 deposits from 6,878 wallets, totaling 51,076 HYPE. The bridge holds 50,245 HYPE, about $4.2M at today's price.
- 88% are already active. 6,058 of those wallets have sent at least one transaction on the chain. 2,727 have sent 10 or more, and 444 have sent 100 or more. Together: 205,127 transactions.
- Only 820 wallets have deposited and done nothing.
- One day stands out. In a sample of every 70th block, about 88% of user transactions on Oct 31 called one swap-router function, the one Uniswap's Universal Router uses, from at least 1,465 wallets. On every other day that share averaged about 6%. We don't know yet what set it off.
This isn't a whale crowd
- The median wallet deposited 1.46 HYPE, about $124.
- 40% deposited less than 1 HYPE. 942 wallets deposited less than 0.1 HYPE, about $8.
- The biggest wallet deposited 955 HYPE, about $81K. No wallet reached 1,000 HYPE, and the top 10 hold only 9% of the total.
- The money is in the middle: 1,120 wallets with 10 to 100 HYPE hold 56%.
- Of the 15 largest depositors, 14 have empty perp accounts on Hyperliquid itself. The exception is 0xf70d…dbef, with $906K.
Then there's 0x563e…45f2. It made 589 deposits: one of 1.99 HYPE and 588 of 0.000000000000000001 HYPE. That looks a lot like someone farming a transaction count in the hope of an airdrop. No Elysium airdrop has been promised in anything we read.
The rush started in late October: 1,104 new wallets on Oct 29, and 1,134 on Nov 2.
What to watch
Nov 9 is the official date. The docs say direct access to HyperCore market data and order routing comes in an upgrade about four weeks after mainnet, and warn that specs and timelines may still change. Moving tokens from Elysium back to HyperEVM goes through a challenge period, so read the bridge docs before you deposit.
